Okay, just to make sure I understand:
I can use the phone if I don’t have Skype?
Can I use Tweetdeck instead of the others mentioned?
Will we have virtual wine?
If I say “damn” will Sr. Virginette smack my knuckles?
Can’t wait!
Hi Mary, Thanks for asking questions. My head was spinning during my first Twitter party. You can use a landline to call in the conference call. You can also use Tweetdeck just make sure it’s on auto refresh. Yes, the virtual wine will be flowing. Yes, if you say “damn” Sr. virginette will smack your muscles, so play at your own risk. 🙂
How do you put Tweetdeck on autorefresh? Make a column for #damnfinewords what else?
ps. I better start my wine early.
I don’t use Tweetdeck, but I’m told that it is possible.
If there’s no wine (virtual or otherwise), I’m going to have serious issues with this party… just sayin’. (Shiraz, anyone?)
Mmmm. I am always up for Shiraz, preferably of the non-Virtual kind. 🙂
Looking forward to the party!
I’ll pour an extra glass for you tonight, James. And I’ll drink it too, if necessary.
please erase #5 above. I didn’t even know I had a Twitter URL.
Sorry. I’ll try to do better.
Hi Mary, No worries. I know it’s you 2x.
actually the other one is my evil twin 🙁
I’m in!
Hi Ruth, Great!
I love twitter parties! Is tequila allowed?
See above. I’m positive there’s a Shiraz labeled, “Shiraz-a-go-go: Brought to you by the Tequila vineyards of Australia.” You just have to share, is all.
THIS I can get excited about 😉
Looking forward to it!
Hi Sandi, Awesome! We are going to have a blast. I know I’m going to listen to this recording again.
looking forward to this!
Hi Scrossfield, Me too! 🙂
I’ll be there! Sounds like fun. 🙂
Hi Kirsten, We are going to have a ton of fun and there are prizes. What could be better?
Okay, I’m going to do my best to be there. Just need to work out what time it starts in Australia.
Bill.
Bill, if you stay up that late tonight, you’ve just set the bar for everyone else. I might even send you an award!
This is going to be a blast. Never attended a Twitter Party, but it sounds like a TweetChat on Steroids. Love combining Teleconferences (something I have been doing since 1999) and Twitter. Kudos to the organizers… looking forward to it!
Hi Julie, A tweetchat on steroids is a great way of putting it. You are going to have a blast.
I don’t suppose there’s any chance the parties could be recorded / put on at a different hour / relaunched in the Eurozone at a better hour?
Over here in Edinburgh, UK, all the Twitter parties seem to be happening at 1am in the morning.
I’m going to have to build a siesta into my work day today to prepare for tonight’s party … not sure my colleagues will buy that one!
Fin :)))
I think the world clock should be readjusted for this event. And that we feel refreshed and wide awake for it!
Sounds like a blast! I have never been to a Twitter Party before.
Will it work if I use my iPhone for the call and iPad for tweeting? (Won’t be at home). How do I follow on Twitter? Did I use the correct URL for my Twitter name? So many questions….
Yay for the wine 🙂
Well I hope you all enjoy the party without me – I will be teaching a group of ten year olds how to write.
Specifically I will be using Lesson 4 from Damn Fine Words.
Be sure to make sure James says some nice things about me!

Bill Harper can make sure I behave. Unless he’s not there, of course, in which case I’ll talk about that time you were… 😛
Never been to a Twitter party! Hopefully, I’ll get there on time.
Oops. Twitter name is parentingplaceb. Twitter url is twitter/parentingplaceb
Wow, I think I might need an alarm clock to wake me up as I don’t want to miss this partee! I believe it’s 2am UK time?
I am so stoked that this Twitter party is not at some random hour in the middle of the night for me. Up and fresh at 8am here in KL… great way to start the day 🙂
Looking forward to this – I’m off to join the fun – save me one of those little hotdog snacks!! :^D
